Ginataang Hipon(Shrimp in the coconut milk)

I like any food with "gata"(coconut milk).My favorite is Ginataang hipon(shrimp in the coconut milk)with bamboo shoots but in this photo,I didn't have any stock of bamboo shoots so it's only shrimps.Hmm,I still remember how delicious it was :)I think,I've eaten 2 plates of rice hehehe.

Steam cleaner machine

As we searched on home steam cleaner machine to remove the dirt and stains on the floor tiles and grouts in our future house and also for some other cleaning purposes,we have found some at the store near to us.They have these Ladybug steam cleaners,another multi-purpose steam cleaner machine that cleans in natural way without using chemicals.Hope it's a great steam cleaner for tough cleaning problems coz we have many tiles to clean when we move.

Looking for a nice watch for my husband

I've been looking for a nice gift for my husband and I wanted to surprised him about it.I'm so exited just thinking of it :).I want to give my husband a valuable gift that he can really use everyday and I want him to remember me,whenever he sees it :).That's why I decided to give him a watch.I've been looking for some nice watches on the net.One online watch store I visited has many high quality timepieces particularly some Zenith watches.If only I have many money,I would surely buy it for him.I'm sure he gonna like it.

Want some Pansit Lome?

I like to cook and if I like some dishes,I tried to do it at home.We don't go to the restaurants often.Since my husband likes anything with pansit and likes the lome,I usually cook it for him.I remember when I was still in the Philippines,whenever my father have his salary,we always go to our favorite restaurant and ordered some Pansit Lome with loaf bread :)All of us were happy just by eating that,seems that we eaten something very special :)

Too bad,at this photo,I don't have shrimps,I usually put some.

Wine rack

No question,my husband is a wine lover.He likes to drink wine,while having a good meal.We even have some boxes of different wines.It's been so long that we wanted to buy a wine rack so that we can put those wines out and it would be easier for us to take whenever we want to drink some.So we looked on the net and we've found some nice wine racks and its accessories.The store has largest selection of wood and metal wine racks.Finally we already found a nice wine rack that would fit in our kitchen area and also with the wines we have.

Decorative lighting fixtures

Being excited to transfer to our new home soon,I already imagined how I will decorate the house.I browse some interior decorating sites on the net to get some ideas.I noticed that they use some beautiful and elegant decorative lighting fixtures in every places of the house that indeed add sophistication and beauty.If only we have lots of money,I will surely put some beautiful chandeliers in the dining room and in the entry,some nice wall sconces and some nice lightings for bathroom and kitchen.

Having an express passport

My friend who is a naturalized US citizen and married to an american are coming here a week from now for a vacation.I'm just so excited to see her after 7 long years.Their airline tickets are done and even their things are already prepared.But unfortunately,last week,her bag was stolen.Her passport was there along with her other personal belongings.They were so upset because their travel is approaching.

Good thing that there is an express service of getting a passport.After completing and submitting all the necessary papers,they have waited 4-6 days for the passport to arrive.Now they don't worry anymore because she has her new passport.Their european tour is only a week away!

Can poor Filipinos still afford to buy rice?

Everytime I watch the Filipino programs on the net and even here in France,the hiking price of rice are always the subject.I really don't understand why the prices of basic commodities are skyrocketing while the Philippine peso is soaring?Normally,the prices will be lesser but it's not what happen right now.Sad but it's true,poor people are the victims.How can they afford to buy rice at 38 pesos per kilo and eat three times a day?That's why many people eat NFA rice right now making long queue just to buy 2 kilos per day.Even here in France,we feel the pain coz before the 25 euros per 20 klo sack of rice is now 35 euros in our asian store.I hope government will do something about it.

Visiting Acropolis

Acropolis is located in Athens Greece and it is one of the well known monuments in the world and one of the archaeological sites in the country.Here,you can see the Parthenon, a temple built for the Greek goddess Athena,the Propylaea that serves as the entrance going to Acropolis and the Erechtheum with the famous Porch of the Maidens.

It is on the top of the hill,so going there you must climb the hill or take a taxi if you want.It’s really a breathtaking view to see the whole Athens .When we went there last October 2007,they still reconstructing the place,I don’t know how long it will take but I guess it will take many years to bring it the way it was before.

Looking for a less expensive car insurance

It's been a while that we've been looking for a less expensive car insurance because we are on a tight budget.We want to find a car insurance not only that it's cheap but also meets our needs.It's important that it has a wide coverage,especially incase of accidents.We've seen a lot of car insurance companies on the net and until now we're still comparing which one is the best.

My goal this year

Losing some weight is one of my goal this year.My husband is been telling me that I become bigger and bigger and sometimes,it hurts me :( That's why I've been searching on the net for quite sometime now,a safe product to lose weight.While searching on the net,I stumbled on the leptovox reviews.I read the customers feedbacks and the site's review.But still I'm not sure if it's good or safe to use.I have to ask first my doctor about this product.Of course,my health should not be compromise even if I want to lose weight.

Bizarre foods

I really like to watch voyage channel here especially the show Bizarre food by Andrew Zimmern.I like the idea of his show,showcasing the exotic foods of different countries.He always said these words,if it looks good,eat it! :)

I was happy that they featured Philippines.In this episode,he tried the balut(fertilized duck eggs),worms from trees in Palawan,lechon,ice cream in the bun and some Filipino delicacies.

A nice gift

The birthday of my sister in law is approaching and I've been looking for a nice gift for her.Good thing that when I browsed an online store when searching a laptop,I also found a nice digital frame,it would be a nice gift for her since she likes to put photos at her home.With this,she can view many photos in one frame,what a cool thing!I'm sure she gonna like this.

Using CAT5e

Recently we upgraded our 2 computers.We want them to communicate together by gigabit ethernet networks but to function it correctly,we have to change our old CAT5 ethernet cable.Since my husband knows a lot about computers,he knows what's the best way.He upgraded it into CAT5e which is excellent to use in compliance with 1000BASE-T.Now,we're happy because the two computers comunicate faster and it's easy for us to send files to each computers.

Cannes Film Festival

Cannes Film Festival 61st edition,one of the world's oldest and most influential and prestigious film festivals was officially opened today.Many prominent stars from different countries surely are there to witness this international film competition.It begins with the Brazillian entry Blindness.It also features,Harrison Ford film,Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull by Steven Spielberg,Im really excited to watch this movie.The Festival will end on the 25th of May,it's also the time they will give the ward,Palm d'or for the best film.

Earthquake in China

Im really sad of what's happening in Asia right now,after Burma's tragedy, hitted by cyclone with more than 20,000 people died,now it's China's turn.The country was hitted by a powerful earthquake that killed almost 9000 people and thousands of missing too.It is said that it was the most violent earthquake in 30 years.What a worst consecutive tragedies!

If only we can stop these natural calamities.

Nice weather

Well,as what I've written few days ago,we're just so lucky that our weather is constantly nice.Though we're busy here in our house,I tried to finish the assignments,especially they'll be expiring soon and I need some bucks to help my lola who's sick right now,hope she gets better soon.Im hoping to have some opps more.

Planning to lose some weight

I've been planning to lose some weight for quite sometime now,I just felt that I become bigger and bigger as the days pass by which is not good!I really envy to women who got a nice body.I want to be slim too.I have watched that there are people who use diet pills to lose weight but there are disadvantages too.By the way,do you know the product Phentermine??Is it safe to use?I have found this on the list of diet pills.I better ask my doctor if it is safe to use and what product is suitable for me.It's better to be safe than be sorry.Health shouldn't be compromise.

Our laptop performance

We were looking on the net for a high application performance and with great computing capacity laptop memory.I noticed that our laptop performance is getting bad especially when doing some graphics,sometimes it took so long when opening a file or a page.It really made me upset!I told my husband about it and he said that we have to upgrade the memory.Hope he will buy it soon.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's day to all the mother's out there!It will be my second time to celebrate this special occasion.Ours here in France will be on the last Sunday of May so,two more weeks to go.I know in Philippines and in USA,they celebrate it tomorrow.Kudos to us mothers! for we have the most novel job in the world :)

So sad that I can no longer celebrate it with my mother,I miss you Ma,happy mother's day to you too wherever you are.

It's good to have a medicare supplement

In France,everybody must have a medical insurance supplement especially to the older ones,for it complements all the health services bills.It’s the same thing in other countries too,older people or the retirees who are eligible for medicare are looking for medicare supplement because medicare alone can’t fully covered all the hospitalization or any health services bills.Worst,if you don’t have any health insurance supplement,you will shoulder the cost of services not covered by medicare,definitely a heavy load to the patient and for the family.

For almost a week now,our weather is so nice.We see Mr sunlight often,which is a good news for us :)The other day and yesterday we went out in the afternoon and profit the warm day.Right now we're on 25-27 degree celcius,many people wear summer clothes,wearing sleeveless and shorts!I guess I have to put our winter clothes in the box,we'll not need them anymore :)

Wanted to change some parts of our car

It's been five years that we have this Daewoo Leganza car.We love this not only we're comfortable but also an eco-friendly too since it runs by LPG, so we want to take care it as much as we can.New cars right now are very expensive.We want to bring it to the repair shop for some dents repairment and we've been contemplating if we will change some of the parts to look more nicer.We've seen some nice Daewoo rear spoilers in one of the online car shops.I'm sure it will add a distinct look to our car if we buy it.

Burma's Tragedy

In the TV news here in France three days ago,I was really saddened when I saw the video of one of the worst tragedies in Burma.Their country was hitted by the powerful cyclone named Nargis.As of now,21,793 people died and 40,695 missing,thats a lot!

I feel pity to all of them,hope the government will do something to provide humanitarian assistance.Surely there will be food shortages,hospitalization for the survivals,medicines and some needs.Hope many people, especially the rich countries will help Burma coz the country alone can't sustain all the needs.

Hot and Sour chinese soup

This soup is called soupe pekinoise in french.I usually cook this soup for my husband,he really likes it a lot and so do I.We love the hot and sour taste of it.Whenever I prepare this,it's already our all in 1 meal,it has meat and lots of veges.

I put some chicken fillets,tofu,many vegetables like carrots,mushrooms,bamboo shoots,onions,scallions,some eggs and sometimes I add sotanghon.It's easy to do it and a very healthy meal.

I read somewhere on the net about deaf children's happiness on watching some of the documentary videos at their school.This special school provides deaf students closed captioning videos since they can't hear the audio sound.Providing them an educational materials that really fits their needs really a practical way to educate more these special children.Now,they can fully understand or comprehend what they have seen on the videos.

Health insurance is very important to every individual.Especially when someone is sick and can't afford all the hospital bills.Many people don't even have insurance because they think they are young,healthy and strong but you will never know what happens in the future.It's better to have a medical insurance than to be sorry later,right?Hospital bills are very expensive,so think of it.There are still health insurance that is affordable with high quality policies.You just have to look for it.

Mother's day gift

Mother's day is fast approaching and my husband been asking me what do I want for a gift.I told him,he can give me anything,and he said what about a jewelry.My smiles went up to my head :) every woman loves to have any kind of jewelries, right girls? :)

He saw a beautiful ring that is similar to my wedding ring that I've lost when I was still working.I told him,I'll be fine with whatever gift he may give me.It's the thought that counts!

My cousin's skin problem

I've talked to my cousin a while ago,I feel the happiness in her voice.Before,she was so shy,embarrass and no self confidence.I really feel pity for her,she had this skin problem called acne for long time.I guess she inherited this skin disease from her mother and I do still remembered her face was totally filled with big pimples.

Thanks to the acne treatment she is using.She said it's really effective,her acne big pimples were gone.She tried many products but none of them rids her acne Im also happy for her,now she can face and talk to people with lots of confidence :)

Sextuplets

I was browsing in the you tube again and caught my attention of this family,The Gosselin.I was so amazed how can she delivered these 6 children all alive and safe!Me having one son,I already experienced the difficulties in my pregnancy how much more if you have 6 all in all.For me it's a miracle.All the kids are cute and healthy.If you want to read more on their story,it can be read in http://www.sixgosselins.com

I wanted to have more babies but not as many as these.Maybe a twin will do for me :)Maybe I'll be scared if there are more than 2 babies in my tummy coz it would be hard to labor and for the babies too.

Buying an lcd mount

A friend of ours is looking for a lcd mount for their newly bought LCD TV.Nowadays,many televisions that you can see in the appliances stores are either plasma or LCD.They are now the trend.People are buying these kind of televisions coz it's not only nice to look at but also it can save some spaces in the house.At home we have a plasma tv that we really like,maybe if we have enough money again,we will buy a stand for our plasma.

Being alcoholic is not good

You know guys,I have a story to share with you.I have a friend who's husband was turned into alcoholic.Even early in the morning,he already held the bottle of whisky drinking just like a water.It made a problem in their marriage.My friend couldn't take it anymore because when he's drunk,he was out of his mind and became violent sometimes.But the husband didn't want her to leave him.

So,to save the marriage and also for the health of his american husband,she looked for an alcohol rehab center.And she sent her husband there.He was well taken cared of and they are helping him to achieve a long-term sobriety.It was all worth the money they spent.Now,their marriage is getting stronger and they live happily.

Davao is very known for Durian,Pomelos and Orchids,the Waling-waling.There many orchid farms there in Davao,one of those is the Fuentespina Orchid farm which is very known when it comes to different beautiful orchids.
