AED ( Automated External Defibrillator )

Many people died from heart disease and the usual cause was cardiac arrest.Cardiac arrest is due to ventricular fibrillation,it means the blood supply to the brain and other organs was stopped.In this situation,mere seconds can mean life and death so the patient must be treated immediately.I have read that ventricular fibrillation can be treated by just applying an electric shock to the chest.This device is called AED or Automated External Defibrillator.

Here in France,you can find AEDs in most of the cities.Just for example,here in our city,we saw one just outside the church.My husband told me that they put it there so that it will be more accessible for emergencies since the premier seconds,minutes are very important.With this device,many people lives are save.
